Teacher BRANDISHES Guns — “Black Militia” Threat

A special education teacher in Fresno posted videos calling for the formation of a racially-motivated armed group, threatening violence against white people while brandishing firearms. The teacher now faces a police investigation and has been banned from her school.

Armed Videos Spark Immediate Investigation

Kenisha Daily, a special education teacher at Madera Unified School District, posted multiple disturbing videos over the weekend showing herself with weapons including a shotgun and pistol. In the footage broadcast by ABC 30 KFSN, Daily made explicit threats while handling the firearms. The videos included statements recruiting black individuals to join what she called a “black militia” with the stated purpose of robbing white people. Concerned social media followers immediately reported the content to school administrators Saturday night.

District officials contacted Fresno authorities within hours, citing concerns for Daily’s welfare and community safety. Law enforcement conducted a home visit that resulted in authorities obtaining a temporary restraining order against the teacher. The case remains under active investigation by multiple agencies. Daily has been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation.

School Security Measures Implemented

Madera Unified School District and Fresno police conducted a comprehensive safety review at Lincoln Elementary, where Daily worked. The district increased security presence at the campus and coordinated with local agencies to establish longer-term safety protocols stemming from the incident. District officials released a statement emphasizing their commitment to maintaining a secure learning environment. The Board of Trustees issued a declaration stating that students, families, and staff deserve safe and welcoming schools, adding that no employee has the right to compromise the sense of security for others in the school community.

Constitutional Rights and Public Safety

The case highlights the tension between Second Amendment rights and public safety concerns when threats of violence emerge. While Americans maintain the constitutional right to bear arms, the combination of weapons display with explicit threats of racial violence crosses clear legal boundaries. The incident raises questions about social media monitoring and the responsibility of platforms to address content promoting violence. The investigation continues as authorities work to determine whether criminal charges beyond the restraining order are warranted. The school district faces decisions about Daily’s employment status once the investigation concludes.
