VIDEO: Amazon Driver CHOOSES Lawn Over Driveway

An Amazon delivery driver bypassed a perfectly functional driveway and carved deep tire tracks across an Indiana couple’s freshly mowed lawn, leaving homeowners shocked as their security camera captured the entire incident on Sunday.

Delivery Gone Rogue

Elisha Magill and their spouse watched in disbelief as their home security system recorded the Amazon vehicle approaching their southern Indiana residence. Instead of using the available driveway, the unidentified driver steered directly onto the front lawn, leaving visible tire marks across the grass. The driver then exited the vehicle, deposited the package at the front door, and climbed back in to complete the delivery.

The damage doubled when the driver executed a u-turn across the same grass to exit the property, carving additional tracks through the yard before returning to the street. The entire sequence left fresh ruts visible across the couple’s property, transforming what should have been a routine package drop into property destruction.

Homeowner Reaction

Magill described the couple’s emotional journey from anger to bewilderment after reviewing the footage. They initially felt frustrated that someone would deliberately drive across their maintained lawn when a clear path existed just feet away. The sheer absurdity of watching a professional driver choose grass over pavement eventually shifted their reaction. The unexpected nature of the incident, combined with the brazen disregard for basic delivery protocols, left them struggling to comprehend the driver’s decision-making process.

Company Response

Amazon acknowledged the incident after the homeowners filed a complaint. A company representative informed the couple that internal investigators are examining the matter to determine what led to the driver’s actions. The retail giant offered to cover repair costs for the lawn damage, though the company has not disclosed whether the driver faces disciplinary action or termination. The incident raises questions about driver training standards and accountability measures within Amazon’s massive delivery network, which handles millions of packages daily across the country.

Growing Delivery Concerns

This incident adds to mounting concerns about delivery driver behavior as e-commerce companies face pressure to meet aggressive delivery schedules. The competition for fast shipping has intensified scrutiny on driver conduct, particularly when security cameras capture conduct that damages private property. Homeowners increasingly rely on surveillance systems to document problems with package delivery, creating a permanent record when professional standards fail.

  1. I suspect that this driver comes from a world, alien to lawns, and driveways, and civility. Local law enforcement should be contacted, to issue citations for negligent driving and property damage.

  2. If it was me I’d sue Amazon for hiring incompetent drivers. Next they should replace the front lawn. Most definitely fire/dismiss her for improper protocol. And if I’m Amazon I’d have the employee paid for all damages plus submit an apology in person to the owners.

  3. They pulled in front of my house in the mud, got stuck there was mud all over my house and huge ruts in my yard I got a small check from them.

  4. An Amazon driver backed into our fence and pushed it into lake. Neighbor was sitting on dock watching this. I called police and got a report. Amazon told me no claim as I did not have enough evidence!! I guess eye witness is not good enough for them.

  5. I have had to pull Amazon trucks out of my yard with my truck before when they drove into my yard and got stuck. They recently paid me almost $500 for driver damage to my driveway when they tried to turn around on the driveway and backed up into the mud and got stuck. You would think they would train their drivers better given all the damage they cause with those cars and trucks.
