Some kids are never taught respect. Respect for the men and women who fought for all this country has to offer. That flag represents a whole host of patriots who went before him. Please remember millions of people risk their lives to come to this country. Iran hangs their young people, Cuban refugees risk prison for daring to protest.
The younger man could be his son or other kin. Either way the younger man didn’t take to much offense to it. No charges were filed nor did he strike back. Or argue. Thank about it.

The younger person hasn’t yet earned the right to be disrespectful. He’s obviously been brought up to believe that the world owes him everything without any contributions from him. His parents, if still a family, will be found voting progressive/socialist at the voting booth.
I have, as an 87 yar old woman stood and sang the national anthem whenever and wherever I may be when it is played. It is really personally offensive to me to hear people around me talking, not singing and not standing. When I was a child, this was never the case. People stood, placed their hands over their hearts, and if not singing, simply stood in silence. It is two minutes of your life to show reverence to the millions of souls who died in defense of our freedom. Most people don’t and haven’t taken the time to understand what the Star Spangled Banner means and what it is recounting. People, please look it up. The whole story will tell you everything you need to know and why the reverence is merited. We are so lucky to be born or naturalized in this country. It is just not appropriate, in my opinion, for anyone here, to not do so.

I walked into a bar to pay for a fish dinner I ordered on-line. An older male patron who was watching a Steelers game became ” offensive” and screamed at me because I was wearing the ball cap of the opposing team.
It was obvious this man had been drinking so I responded for him to go “sleep it off”, paid for my order, and left.
