Two mass shootings erupted within 15 minutes of each other on Saturday night, leaving three people dead and 23 others wounded in Chicago and Trenton, New Jersey, as law enforcement in both cities search for multiple gunmen who remain at large.
Chicago Shooting Claims One Life, Wounds 14
Chicago police responded to a large gathering on the South Side at approximately 11:37 p.m. Saturday when multiple gunmen opened fire into the crowd. A 35-year-old man suffered multiple gunshot wounds and later died at the University of Chicago Medical Center. Fourteen others were wounded, including six men and seven women ranging in age from 21 to 47. Among the survivors was a 26-year-old woman shot multiple times in the chest who was listed in good condition.
The incident marks Chicago’s largest single shooting event this year, surpassing a June drive-by attack that wounded 14 people. Officers were attempting to disperse the gathering when the gunfire began. Investigators have not released descriptions of the shooters or disclosed the nature of the gathering. Cook County Crime Stoppers is offering up to $10,000 for information leading to an arrest.
Trenton Attack Leaves Two Dead, Nine Injured
Just 12 minutes after the Chicago shooting, Trenton police received reports of multiple shots fired near 194 Locust Street at 12:25 a.m. Sunday. First responders discovered 11 victims at the scene. Two people were pronounced dead, while nine others were transported to Capital Health Regional Medical Center. Their current conditions have not been released, and no arrests have been announced.
Trenton Mayor W. Reed Gusciora confirmed one victim had been working to rebuild his life after prison. The mayor stated the deceased man had recently been recognized for his dedication to reentry programs and positive change. New Jersey Governor Mikie Sherrill said her Attorney General remains in contact with local officials as the investigation continues.
Officials Vow Action on Gun Violence
Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson condemned the violence and pledged to address firearms flowing into communities. Johnson emphasized his administration’s commitment to stopping gun trafficking and investing in violence prevention resources. He promised continued support for victims through mental health services and victim assistance programs. Both cities are treating the shootings as active investigations, with no confirmed connection between the two incidents despite their proximity in timing.
So two “blue” states? Yes, all these these “blue heads” keep telling everybody else that “red” states have more murders, they need to turn their head and look back at theirselves instead pointing out everybody’s faults.

Mayor Brandon Johnson vowed to end gun violence, but continues to support Geoge Toros controlled prosecutors and judges who let these shooters back on the streets after keeping them in jail long enough to feed them lunch.
They should pass a law, prohibiting people from shooting around crowds. oh, wait . . . . Well, when you get tired of it, you will shoot back.

Is this a sign of Anarchy and Chaos? There is so much dissent and hate as a result of deep political trends in this country. The responsibility falls squarely on this administration AND Congress, regardless of color or shades thereof and it is their responsibility to try and bring peace to the nation.
Administration officials, including the President and Congress should take the initiative and defuse popular unrest. Agitators, if any, should be neutralized to the full extent of the law.
