Karmelo Anthony’s Girlfriend CREATES Fan Page

The girlfriend of Karmelo Anthony has created a social media fan page for the convicted murderer, calling him her “sweet boy” just days after he received a 35-year prison sentence for stabbing 17-year-old Austin Metcalf to death at a high school track meet.

Fan Page Promotes Convicted Killer

Valeria Perez, identified as Anthony’s longtime girlfriend, promoted the “StandWithKarmeloAnthony” Instagram account before setting her personal profile to private. “Hold your head high, my sweet boy. You’re not alone, we’re fighting for you, always. I love you more than words,” Perez wrote on her locked account. The fan page had 982 followers as of Thursday morning and follows only four accounts, including Perez, Anthony’s mother, and his uncle. The page shares messages supporting the killer through disappearing stories.

Fatal Stabbing At Texas Track Meet

Anthony was convicted Tuesday of murdering Metcalf during a confrontation at a Frisco Independent School District track meet on April 2, 2025. The Centennial High School student stabbed Metcalf in the chest with a knife after the victim and others, including his twin brother Hunter, asked Anthony to leave the Memorial High School team tent during a rain delay. Hunter held his dying brother despite efforts by first responders to save him. A jury rejected Anthony’s self-defense claim after less than three hours of deliberation and sentenced him to 35 years in prison.

Family Faces Harassment And Threats

The Metcalf family now receives death threats and hateful messages on personal phone numbers and social media from supporters of the convicted murderer. Video footage from the courthouse shows a mob of Anthony supporters physically following and verbally assaulting the grieving family as they left after sentencing. Demonstrators chanted “We glad Austin’s dead” while swarming the family, including the victim’s twin brother. Anthony’s legal team has filed an appeal, claiming their client is a victim of a “racist” system despite the jury conviction.

What This Means

The creation of a fan page for a convicted murderer and the public harassment of the victim’s family represents a disturbing development in this case. Perez previously maintained a low public profile but has now stepped into the spotlight to publicly support Anthony and organize backing for his appeal. The case highlights growing concerns about social media platforms being used to glorify convicted criminals and intimidate victims’ families seeking justice.

  1. What makes her think he won’t do the same to her when he gets out or any kids they have. He’s done it once, he’ll do it again.

  2. How lucky is the Anthony family. What a money making opportunity the murder has given them. Move into new house, buy new car, get new clothes go out all because their murderering son was convicted. Only in the USA

  3. In prison, the murderer, formerly known as Karmelo, will use the name Benjamin Dover (Ben). They, too, will refer to him as “my sweet boy”. Does anyone believe that Ben will get any of the money ?

  4. I don’t get it. Do high school athltes carry knives during track meets? Do people there understand Murder if a bad crime and usually gets life? This whole story is sick. Boy murders boy on school track, then gets a jury trial of his neighbors and found guilty but only gets 35 years (probably off for good behavior after 10) Sounds like students need flack vests in this area.
Is school held responsible for allowing armed students on property.? They deserve a very hard slap to show other parents and schools punishment for both is justified
