A federal whistleblower has exposed serious technical failures in a U.S. Postal Service mail ballot verification system ordered by President Trump, warning the rushed program could cause widespread disruptions in the upcoming midterm elections if implemented.
Rushed Development Raises Red Flags
An anonymous federal official filed a complaint revealing the USPS system was developed through a rushed, chaotic process that began in earnest only in June. The whistleblower, represented by nonprofit Whistleblower Aid, warned that the verification portal needed nine to twelve months for proper development but received less than three months. Workers involved in the project reportedly described the system as a catastrophic failure just days before its scheduled release.
Senator Richard Blumenthal, a Connecticut Democrat serving on the Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, forwarded the complaint to Postmaster General David Steiner on Monday. The senator accused the administration of pursuing unconstitutional changes to election procedures for political purposes, calling the implementation blatantly incompetent.
Technical Failures Could Block Thousands of Ballots
The whistleblower complaint identifies a critical design flaw that could prevent legitimate ballots from reaching voters. According to the complaint, if even one barcode fails to scan properly in a batch of 10,000 ballots, the entire shipment gets rejected and returned to state officials. This all-or-nothing approach creates predictable failure points that could disenfranchise thousands of voters through routine scanning errors.
President Trump signed the executive order in March directing federal agencies to create citizen lists and requiring the Postal Service to transmit mail ballots only to verified individuals. A federal judge has blocked the order pending constitutional challenges, though the USPS reportedly continued development work despite court intervention.
What This Means
The controversy highlights fundamental tensions between federal election oversight and traditional state-run voting systems. The Postal Service has never maintained a central citizen registry, and this unprecedented expansion of federal authority faces ongoing legal challenges. White House spokesperson Lauren Bis defended the system Tuesday, claiming the verification technology mirrors existing USPS bulk mailing processes using intelligent mail barcodes. However, the whistleblower allegations suggest internal concerns about system reliability and rushed implementation timelines that could undermine election integrity regardless of the order’s constitutional status.

How convenient that a democrat whisleblower would turn up to throw doubt on a system thats to replace a democrat system to cheat….hmmm
Exactly! And having Blumenthal in the mix tells me what is really being said is that the Democrats will not have enough time to figure out how best to rig the votes!
Anytime an anonymous person sends me a message, no matter if it is good or bad, it is deposited in the wastebasket.
Democrat cheating gave this country 4 years of hell from Biden, and Harris. Given the chance, Democrats will cheat again in 2028, with more of their Socialist-Communist Destruction of Open Borders, and trillions in welfare for unvetted illegals.
The USPS supports everything Democrats so.
You are right it is not working. Leaders need to work in a post office for a day. Have not been able to track!
Very obvious that the democrats are trying to prevent the ability and honesty of the mail in voting process. If the person is not a citizen and registered to vote via the local BOE, they should be stopped from voting.
