For far too long, lefties have committed all types of vandalism as well as B &E,of businesses, takeovers, etc and called it “Free Speech.” Time to crack down on them, perhaps arrest, prosecute and prison time. We’ll see how well they cope with professional criminals.
It belongs to the people, so the people get to use it. Whats the point in it looking beautiful and no one allowed to use it. The whiners will be people who have never been, but want to use as a stick to beat Trump.
Let the people use the grounds for holiday celebrations like in the past. The grass can be replaced and it brings employment. Make it fun. Take High School students to learn how to do landscaping; raking; planting flowers; watering and take care of grass. It is worth the penny.
Grass is a living thing, to stay green and healthy it must be allowed to recover from being damaged (i.e. “stepped on”). When you have a huge crowd for hours on an area of grass the damaged is massive and you need to bar people from using it again until it has recovered. On a separate note, Trump never wants to take responsibility for damage an event he sponsored caused so he always blames someone else, that is his nature, live with it (for at least the next 2+ years).
The US Constitution guarantees freedom and specific rights. It was drawn up by the wisest collection of men at the time. It was created for a Righteous People. Unfor-tuneately this land is not righteous in our day.
Desecration of National Property, the Property of The People is a flagrant disregard for the rights of others. Those of us who love this land need to step up and protect what our Founders have bequeathed to us.

The critics sound like the grumpy old man that says “get off my lawn!” If the Mall was never meant to be stepped on, why have it at all? Should we just get helicopters to fly over it and take pictures from the air? “Oh look, I can see the Viet Nam Memorial. I wonder who’s names are on all those stone tablets? I guess the days when we could do a stencil of a loved one who died during the Viet Nam War are over.” I remember when there were vendors on the mall area during the 1980’s around the 4th of July. I don’t remember the Democrats pitching a fit over that. How about when they filmed Forest Gump there and he actually walked into the reflecting pool? Did the movie industry have to pay damages for that? Was Forest Gump (Tom Hanks) fined for what he did? It is so funny that the Left can get so cost conscious about grass, but not about fraud and abuse like the misuse of the H1 B Visa Program, or the ‘Learing Centers’, or 359 year olds still getting Social Security (that person had to be 269 years old when he/she started getting Social Security that started in 1935), Too bad the Democrats didn’t invite the 360 year old to the celebration or even one of the many 260 year olds still getting Social Security. Imagine what someone who was actually alive during the birth of the nation, could share about it’s founding. Any body out there who actually knows the 360 year old or one of the 260 year olds? I have a plethora of questions to ask any of them.
