A 16-year-old Missouri girl was shot in the head and left dead inside her home by three friends who abandoned her body for hours before her mother discovered the horrific scene. Three juveniles now face criminal charges in a case that has devastated multiple families in Jefferson County.
Body Discovered After Mother Returns Home
Gabbriana Boyster, known to friends as Gabby, was found Saturday afternoon by her mother at their residence on Tower Road near Hillsboro, approximately 45 minutes southwest of St. Louis. Deputies from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene where Candy G’Sell had discovered her daughter’s body. Paramedics pronounced the teen dead at the scene. Investigators believe the shooting occurred Friday evening while three juveniles who knew Boyster were inside the home.
G’Sell had been away when the shooting happened. Her last conversation with her daughter came Friday night when Gabby assured her mother she was staying home. G’Sell told her to lock the door. When G’Sell returned Saturday afternoon, she walked into her daughter’s room and found her sitting up, dead from a gunshot wound. The teen’s body had been left there for hours.
Three Friends Charged In Fatal Shooting
The Jefferson County Juvenile Office charged one suspect with involuntary manslaughter, unlawful use of a weapon resulting in death, armed criminal action, and abandonment of a corpse. Two additional suspects were each charged with abandonment of a corpse before being released. Authorities have not identified any of the three suspects because they are minors. Investigators confirmed that all three juveniles knew Boyster, and G’Sell identified them as friends of her daughter. Officials have not disclosed what led to the shooting.
Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Grant Bissell emphasized the widespread impact of the tragedy. One family has lost their loved one, while three other families now face the consequences of their children’s actions. Bissell described the situation as devastating for everyone involved, with no winners in the aftermath of this senseless loss of life.
Community Mourns Promising Young Life
G’Sell remembered her daughter as a kind-hearted teenager who loved her family, cared deeply about her friends, and dreamed of becoming an ultrasound technician. Instead of preparing for Gabby’s junior year at Hillsboro High School, her mother spent the week planning her daughter’s funeral. The Hillsboro School District announced that grief counselors would be available for students and families following Boyster’s death. Superintendent Dr. Jon Isaacson acknowledged the unimaginable loss and committed to providing support for everyone grieving during this difficult time.

Put them on death row after they are found guilty and not for decades like the prison system does now. They are “animals” and nothing but. If a rabid dog is on the loose, it is usually put down. What good would it do to keep them in prison for life?
Dear God will it ever stop. Such a dear young lady.
