Livestream CATCHES Exact Moment Car SLAMS Streamer

A Twitch streamer broadcasting a cross-country charity walk was struck by a car on an Indiana highway, capturing the entire collision on his livestream. Isaiah Thomas survived the violent impact and walked away determined to finish his mission to raise $200,000 for trade education programs serving underprivileged youth.

Highway Collision Caught On Camera

Thomas, known online as hmbl zayy, was walking in the right lane of Interstate 40 near 3 p.m. Tuesday when disaster struck. A dark blue Mazda trailed behind him as a safety barrier when a silver sedan rear-ended the protective vehicle, launching it forward into the unsuspecting streamer. The livestream captured tire screeches before Thomas flew off camera, his belongings scattered across the roadway. Within seconds, he returned to view despite losing a shoe from the impact.

Emergency responders arrived within 20 minutes. Thomas told officers his back brace likely saved his life. He was transported to a hospital for evaluation of injuries to his neck, feet, and legs. From his hospital bed wearing a neck brace, Thomas posted an Instagram video thanking supporters. Police reportedly told him they were amazed he survived and expected to find a fatality at the scene instead of a walking, talking victim.

Mission To Build Alternative Education

Thomas launched his 100-day trek from Philadelphia to California on Day 1, completing 34 days before the collision halted his progress. The 3,000-mile journey aims to fund HMBL University, an alternative education program offering trade certifications in nursing assistance, plumbing, electrical work, HVAC systems, carpentry, and medical technology. The program targets high school graduates unable to afford traditional college or seeking practical career paths. His GoFundMe campaign has raised nearly $45,000 toward the $200,000 goal.

Determined To Continue Journey

Despite medical tests and injuries, Thomas vowed to resume his walk to California. He described the mission as bigger than himself, focused on creating opportunities for young people whose circumstances should not limit their potential. The program also includes plans for HMBL Summer Camp and cultural trips to Africa, exposing students to experiences beyond their immediate environment. Thomas credited divine intervention for his survival and refused to abandon the goal despite the setback.
