Additional discarded gloves discovered by reporters near Nancy Guthrie’s Arizona home suggest law enforcement may have missed potential evidence in their search for the missing 84-year-old woman.

Evidence Discovery Exposes Search Gaps

Multiple gloves were found in the same area where FBI agents previously collected a black glove believed to be connected to Guthrie’s February 1st abduction. The newly discovered items included a leather work glove, a blue woven glove, and a red glove that appeared hastily removed. All were visible from the highway and positioned where a fleeing kidnapper could have discarded them while driving toward Tucson or Mexico. The Pima County Sheriff’s Department was notified of the finds.

The black glove recovered by federal agents is undergoing DNA testing after investigators identified a possible match. Security footage from Guthrie’s doorbell camera shows her masked kidnapper wearing black synthetic gloves, though investigators believe additional gloves were worn underneath. Five individuals have been detained and released, including four arrested during a SWAT raid near Guthrie’s home. No suspects have been formally identified despite FBI involvement in the Pima County investigation.
