A Los Angeles mother of three, once celebrated for her musical talent, now lives in a toxic storm drain filled with human waste as her desperate family begs authorities to forcibly intervene before it’s too late.
Family Identifies Storm Drain Woman
Jameelah Robinson, 43, has been identified as the homeless woman discovered living in an underground Los Angeles storm drain last week. Her sister Kameelah learned about Robinson’s shocking living conditions when a friend shared news footage. The discovery marked the second time Robinson had taken shelter in the city’s sewer system, according to her mother, Linda, who previously found multiple people living with her daughter in a single drain.
City workers declared the underground encampment a hazardous hot zone and sealed the location with asphalt. LA officials offered Robinson assistance, but FOX 11 footage captured the mother walking away from help. Her family has not heard from her since that encounter. Linda Robinson blamed drugs for her daughter’s decline, while family members shared videos from happier times showing Jameelah’s singing performances that contrast sharply with her current dire situation.
Family Demands Forced Intervention
Robinson’s relatives criticized the city’s approach, arguing that voluntary assistance programs fail to address severe mental illness cases. Kameelah questioned whether officials would simply let the mayor’s family member walk away from help. Linda Robinson made an impassioned plea for authorities to take her daughter into custody. The distressed mother stated her daughter lacks the mental capacity to make sound decisions for herself and requires immediate forced intervention rather than voluntary services.
Crisis Highlights System Failures
Linda Robinson revealed she previously attempted to get court recognition of her daughter’s mental illness without success. She expressed hope that the public attention from this incident might finally secure the help both she and Jameelah desperately need. The case highlights ongoing debates about involuntary commitment laws and whether California’s homeless crisis requires more aggressive intervention beyond offering optional services. Robinson’s family maintains that enforcement mechanisms must complement assistance programs when dealing with individuals unable to recognize their own need for help due to mental illness or addiction.

New York Post: Tragic past of LA woman living in squalid sewer — as her family reveals her downfall

No problem! She will come out when they flush it….
Not the cities job to police people that way. If the family wants intervention, do it. Not the taxpayers job.
Someone should help her. living in a storm drain isn’t healthy, There should be some organization out there to help people like her. This is America. People shouldn’t be left like this.
There is, the NAACP, always advancing Colored people.
Seems like an appropriate place for her to me!
And a cave would be an appropriate place for you. Do you still have your tail or did you get it removed?
The family can get a judge to put her into a hospital for being a hazard to her own health. She is too mentally ill and addicted to drugs to help herself.
Well, this is very sad, but when people continue to vote for Democrats, this is exactly what we will get. They are corrupt, and could care less for people, regardless of what they claim.
This is the most disjointed and ridiculous response to a serious issue. It’s neither the Democrats or Republicans issue or problem. Drug abuse is definitely a serious matter affecting many people regardless of political or religious affiliation.
James, A very true statement about how this happens. The demorats do not care about anyone or anything except power. Power over everyone and everything. Taken to the possible end, it will be the downfall of this country. A possible and likely result will be civil war 2. I sure as hell never want to see that.
