New Doc EXPOSES Dark Secrets Behind Bob Barker

A new documentary reveals disturbing allegations about legendary game show host Bob Barker’s conduct behind the scenes of The Price Is Right, including claims of workplace affairs, racial discrimination, and retaliation against models who refused to cover up misconduct.

Workplace Affairs and Dressing Room Scandal

The E! docuseries Dirty Rotten Scandals features testimonies from former Price Is Right models Holly Hallstrom, Kathleen Bradley, and Claudia Jordan about the toxic environment on set. Hallstrom told People magazine she discovered Barker was having an affair with model Dian Parkinson during the show’s filming in the 1970s through the early 2000s. The pair regularly engaged in sexual encounters in Barker’s dressing room during filming breaks, according to Hallstrom’s account. Parkinson later filed a sexual harassment lawsuit against Barker but eventually dropped the legal action.

Allegations of Racial Discrimination

Bradley, the first black model hired for the show, described facing immediate hostility. She learned that production meetings included the use of racial slurs when models were not present. Jordan, another black model, said a producer routinely used offensive stereotypes and inappropriate physical contact. According to the documentary, the show limited black contestants to two at a time, marking their contestant cards with the letter B. Multiple models claimed Barker visibly recoiled from physical contact with black contestants.

Legal Retaliation and Career Destruction

When Hallstrom refused to testify on Barker’s behalf during the Parkinson lawsuit, citing concerns about committing perjury, she faced immediate consequences. Producers told her weight had become a problem, reducing her camera time before forcing her early retirement. Barker then filed a defamation lawsuit against her. Hallstrom lost her home and lived in her car before settling the case. She later sued Barker for malicious prosecution. Bradley revealed all six fired models shared one thing in common: they refused to lie to protect Barker from legal consequences.

Legacy Reconsidered

Barker died in 2023 at age 99, celebrated for his five-decade television career. The documentary emerges as part of a broader cultural reckoning with powerful entertainment figures whose public personas masked alleged misconduct. The models’ accounts paint a workplace where professional retaliation silenced those who challenged inappropriate behavior, leaving careers and lives destroyed, while Barker’s reputation remained intact until after his death.
