Senator Tammy Duckworth, a Democrat, is trying to stop President Trump's choice of Mike Waltz as UN Ambassador by demanding a "brutal" confirmation hearing due to a straightforward miscommunication. Democrats are launching politically motivated attacks on Waltz, a decorated Green Beret veteran with a wealth of national security experience, as they continue to obstruct President Trump's national security team.
Senator Tammy Duckworth has clarified that she intends to make Waltz's confirmation process as difficult as possible, claiming he's "not qualified" based on his participation in a Signal messaging group. The Illinois Democrat is attempting to block yet another qualified Trump appointee despite Waltz's impressive credentials as a combat veteran, former National Security Adviser, and Florida congressman.
So… Mark "Constipated Face" Warmer @MarkWarner & Tammy "Duck-Sauce" @SenDuckworth & your DemoCrap-Pants want to give a [brutal-hearing] with U.N Ambassador, Mike Waltz.

The controversy stems from a Signal chat in which Waltz discussed military operations and inadvertently included a journalist in the conversation. Waltz immediately took responsibility for the mistake, demonstrating the accountability and leadership qualities that have defined his career in public service and the military.
President Trump has expressed complete confidence in Waltz: "Mike was a — as you know, he's a fine guy. And I think he'll do an excellent job — knowing the countries and leadership. And I think he'll do very well at the United Nations." The President's continued support shows his commitment to placing experienced, tough-minded America First patriots in key diplomatic positions.
Mike Waltz is failing up.⁰⁰He’s being rewarded for an egregious national security breach by being tapped for UN Ambassador—a slap in the face to the troops he put in greater danger with SignalGate.⁰⁰I’ll be voting no. pic.twitter.com/HVt5dgCJGj

Secretary of State Marco Rubio will temporarily fill the National Security Adviser role while Waltz seeks confirmation, providing continuity and strong leadership within the administration's foreign policy team. Republican House Intelligence Chairman Mike Turner defended the arrangement, comparing it to Henry Kissinger's dual role during the Nixon administration.
Duckworth's aggressive stance appears to be part of a coordinated Democrat effort to undermine President Trump's national security team through any means possible. Senate Intelligence ranking member Mark Warner joined Duckworth in predicting a "brutal confirmation hearing," signaling Democrats' intent to play politics with national security despite Waltz's impressive qualifications.
"Now, Mike Waltz is doing what we call — he is failing up," Duckworth claimed, ignoring Waltz's extensive military and congressional experience that makes him exceptionally qualified for the UN role. These attacks follow a familiar pattern of Democrat obstruction aimed at weakening President Trump's ability to implement his America First foreign policy agenda.
Waltz, who served multiple combat tours as a Green Beret, brings battlefield leadership and strategic expertise that far outweigh the qualifications of many previous UN ambassadors. His nomination came after Rep. Elise Stefanik withdrew her candidacy, allowing President Trump to place a national security expert in this critical diplomatic position.
