A New York City public school teacher earning over $110,000 annually has been identified as the host of a YouTube podcast where he promotes antisemitic conspiracy theories while wearing a homemade tinfoil hat, raising serious questions about classroom influence and vetting procedures in America’s largest school district.

Teacher Behind Conspiracy Channel Exposed

George Trim, 43, teaches social studies at IS 281 in Bath Beach, Brooklyn, while maintaining a YouTube channel called MMEEDUCATING under the username Cartoonking365. The New York Post identified Trim by matching images from his YouTube account to photographs posted on the school’s official Instagram page. The channel, established in April 2015, has accumulated over 7,000 subscribers who watch Trim espouse various conspiracy theories while dressed in bizarre costumes including a tinfoil hat and Guy Fawkes mask.

In videos reviewed by investigators, Trim promotes the antisemitic conspiracy theory that World Trade Center owner Larry Silverstein had advance knowledge of the September 11 terrorist attacks. He claims Silverstein suspiciously obtained terrorism insurance shortly before the attacks occurred. The teacher also advances debunked theories about President Kennedy’s assassination, suggesting Jewish involvement and connecting it to lobbying regulations Kennedy allegedly planned to impose.

School District Launches Investigation

Trim has worked for the New York City Department of Education since 2009 and collected a $110,848 salary in 2025, according to public records. He holds a master’s degree from the University of Mount Saint Vincent in the Bronx, obtained in 2012. A DOE spokesperson confirmed the matter has been referred for investigation, stating the views described do not reflect the values of New York City Public Schools and have no place in classrooms.

United Jewish Teacher President Moshe Spern condemned the situation, telling reporters that antisemitic educators continue to freely promote conspiracy theories and indoctrination that go unchecked by school leaders. The controversy adds to mounting concerns about antisemitism in New York City public schools, which have faced multiple incidents since October 2023.

Pattern Of Controversy At Brooklyn School

IS 281 previously faced backlash in June 2025 after hosting an assembly where author Rhonda Rhoumani displayed a map omitting Israel entirely, labeling the region Palestine instead. The DOE investigated that incident and stated appropriate action was taken. The repeated controversies at the same school raise questions about administrative oversight and the screening of educational content presented to students in one of Brooklyn’s public middle schools. Trim could not be reached for comment regarding the investigation.
